Crimson Sky is the compelling story of a young woman named Cadence and her attempt to survive in post-apocalyptic America. It is a story about self-discovery in the modern-not-so-stylized word, the human condition, and the extreme to which the political landscape can ultimately shift. As much as it is set in the harsh landscape, it is just as much set inside of Cadence's mind. It begins with her rocking on the dark water in a tiny makeshift boat struggling to comprehend humanities collective decision to let the turmoil in the Middle East escalate to the point of nuclear holocaust, cursing the government for its irresponsible foreign policy. The story follows Cadence in her quest for other survivors while also exposing her own intrinsic struggle with startling and conflicting convictions; between despising humanity and missing it terribly; between wanting to live and waiting to die.
